How we will use your personal data

This site does not use cookies or track your IP address or device information. If you complete the questionnaire but do not submit your name and contact information, this site will not store, process or transfer any of your personal data. If you submit your name and contact information, they will be transmitted together with your questionnaire answers (including information about your health) through a secure portal to your local Study center, which is the medical institution identified in the questionnaire. An authorized representative of the Study center will then contact you to discuss your possible participation in the Study.

 

Access to your personal data

Only the Study center will have access to your personal data. The information will not be accessible to us or to any third party, except for IT personnel of our service provider who are contractually required to keep such data confidential and may access it only for technical support purposes.

The information will be retained in our secure portal until the recruitment phase of the Study has been completed. It will be deleted from the portal within six months after completion of the recruitment phase. The Study center will be permitted to keep a copy of the information in their study files for the duration of the Study and so long thereafter as they keep Study files, in accordance with Study center policies and applicable regulations.

 

Transfer of personal data outside the EEA

Our portal is maintained on secure servers located outside of the European Economic Area (EEA). Our agreement with our service provider includes the EU’s standard contractual clauses under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), which are intended to extend the protections of GDPR to data transferred outside of the EEA.
